I'm back, in more ways than one

I am back from New York!! What a great vacation!!!

The trip was a lot of fun. We didn’t have any problems at all, which considering we flew, drove, took subways and buses is kind of amazing!! It was really nice and REALLY expensive! I can’t even believe how expensive the food was. Twice what it is here. Even with as long as we were gone, we still didn’t have time for everything.

We flew in to LaGuardia and then rented a car and drove to Cooperstown. We got a GPS in our car and it really SAVED us. I am going to buy one for myself! Saturday and Sunday was Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame). That was really nice, but we underestimated the time we needed there because the town is really cute and has lots to do. Sunday we drove back to Manhattan and stopped off for dinner with some of my New Jersey friends. The drive in was again SAVED by the GPS. The hotel was small, but what can you expect in New York? Monday was Central Park and I think that was my favorite day. Central Park is just awesome. We played in the park, watched a baseball game, went to the zoo. Tuesday was Yankees Stadium. We had great seats and Steve was in 7
th heaven. Wednesday was Statue of Liberty and Thursday was South Street Seaport and top of the Rockefeller center. Mixed in were many meals and Times Square. It was awesome!!

I managed to do everything and my feet didn't give out, but my weight was obvious. On the plane I was saved because I was sitting by Steve. But the buses and Cans and subway and turnstiles and needing a table. My weight was a burden and not just for me. And then there are the pictures..that was a rude awakening. "No way" was the thought that kept running through my head.

I want to be healthy and fit. Plain and simple. Today's weight 342.8. I am going to eat healthy and exercise and finish this once and for all. When we go to Disney in 2010 I will be normal.

You CAN do this, Sandi. Keep your eyes on your goal and accept no excuses. I'm in your corner.

Eat when you are hungry. Eat less. Move more. Don't try to over-analyze weightloss so much...for I fear it becomes to much for you mentally. Just eat when you are hungry. Eat less. Move more. It really is that simple.

I know when I was around your weight..my dr. said to me.."You will not live to see 50!" It was sad..but true. Do this first for YOURSELF..but do this for your child too. AND your husband. They deserve a healthy Mommy and wife. You really do have everything you NEED inside of yourself to lose this weight. Just DO IT ALREADY!!

Hey Sandi! Sounds like your trip was fabulous and I'm so glad you had a great time.

I'm just back from one of my own and need to get back on track after a couple of weeks of unrestrained eating! I really enjoyed it at the time, but not so much now.

Time to get to business. Let's do it!!
