A new day!

Happy Monday!

Things with me are kind of the same. On Sunday, June 1st I started trying to stay away from the major junk. No cookies, ice cream, candy bars. I know that seems pretty obvious, if I am supposed to be trying to lose weight, but dessert sneak themselves into my plan every day. I need to make so many changes, I figured I'd start there.

My trainer is still awesome. I also had a heart to heart with another trainer at the YMCA, and he has offered to help me set some concrete goals. He is the ideal fitness guru, so when I get back from vacation I plan to take him up on his offer. It was a little surreal standing there talking to the cutest guy at the gym about my weight, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

2 weeks until New York!! I am so excited. Now it's crunch time getting everything ready.

Sounds like some very positive steps! Congrats!! I'm working on no pop or fruit juice, I seem to be drinking way too much of those and not enough water. I am not a dessert person but my husband is. If I don't have something sweet after dinner it doesn't bug me one way or the other. I'm more likely to eat those things as snacks during the day or last thing at night but what I try to do is buy only cookies that my husband likes, I won't eat them. My son is not much of a sweets eater either, thank goodness, he just as soon as snack on fruits or vegs!
