Count Calories...Exercise...Water...Sleep
Those are my daily goals starting today. I did very well at the end of the year counting calories and keeping my fat under 30%. But I think I want more. I want whole health and I think the addition of exercise, 8 hours of sleep and more water falls right in to the person that I am going to become.
Counting calories won't change. 1500 calories while trying to keep the fat under 30%. I will use fitday because I just love it and have used it for so long that a ton of what I eat is already there.
Exercise will be daily. I have lots of choices. I can go to the YMCA or stay home and do a video. But my goal is to exercise EVERY day. For now I will stick to just cardio. But once I get under 300, I plan to add in weight training, maybe sooner. I love to lift weights and I know it will dramatically help shape my body into what it needs to be.
Water. I am not sure what I am going to do here yet. Basically I drink WAY too much pop. Pop doesn't have any nutritional value what so ever! It is just so bad for you and I drink tons. Water on the hand is sooooo good for you and I don't drink much. So my goal is less pop and more water.
Sleep. This should be fun. I am going to try and get 8 hours of sleep a night. I get up at 5:00, so that means I need to be in bed by 9:00. Hold on while I try and stop laughing! I usually get in bed between 10 and 11. But what am I really doing during that time, watching TV and palying bejeweled. It will such an advantage to be well rested. I will feel better, less eating because I am tired.
Today my calories are logged in fitday and I have already been to the gym and I have drank only water! So far so good!! :)

Wandered over from 3FC -- I force myself to go to bed at 9:00 as often as possible these days, since I get up at 5:00 to fit in an extra workout before work. It's hard, but the difference in my level of rest is AMAZING. When I only get seven hours of sleep I really feel it.
I have basically given up TV in order to do it, but I find I don't miss it much (though I will break my own rule for Biggest Loser tonight, most likely.) Anyway, for what it's worth, it's a good goal. I think you'll find it makes a difference.
Good luck!
Sounds like a good plan Sandi! Maybe to make the transition from soda to water you could use diet soda. Also, try diet Snapple; it's really good;especially the diet peach.
I love Bejeweled too!
T.S.
Hope you're doing well Sandi!
How are you doing Sandi?
