The holidays are here and boy are they keeping me busy!!
This weekend was fun. We got up Saturday morning and I took Jacob to a breakfast with Santa. It was at a nearby church. It only cost $3.00 a piece. He got to pick a beanie baby before he even went in. Then he got to see Santa (no lines) and they took a Polaroid. Then we had breakfast (doughnuts & milk). While we were eating, they were having a "raffle" (I think they called every kids name) and he got to pick prize. Then we went over to the craft table where Jacob made a reindeer puppet. He didn't tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas the 1st time so we had to go back up. This time Jacob made me go see Santa too. It was the best Santa visit ever. From now on, that's the only place I'll go. They said they have it at Easter too.
Then he had swimming. But we were kind of early, so I stopped by this new shop and got my last remaining Christmas gift. Saturday afternoon/evening, Jacob and I put up all the Christmas decorations. I was pleased because last year when we moved there were a few special decorations that didn't have a home in the new house. It took some doing, but I found homes for each and every one of them!! :) Jacob really enjoyed decorating the house. I feel bad that we didn't get it done earlier in the season, but at least it's done now.
Sunday we baked & decorated Sugar cookies. He had fun. I think I had too high expectations for the cookies. I thought we'd have 2 dozen Martha Stewart cookies when we were done. Ummmm, not quite. But it was fun and they taste good and that's all that maters.
I still have 1 gift to make and my calendars to finish and ALL my gifts to wrap. But I have no doubt that it will all come together. It has to...right?? :)
I didn't even weigh myself this morning. Major head in the sand.

Ah, it sounds like a wonderful weekend. :) How about if you just focus on making good choices and moving as much as you can this week and not sweating your weight? There will be plenty of time to hit it hard come January 1.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Ooooh, what a cool breakfast with Santa thing! Em would have loved that, even though she's in on the secret now.
Hmmm, Martha Stewart cookies with a six year old? Heehee, what a lovely (fleeting) thought that must have been!
BTW, did'ja happen to see me whilst buried beneath that sand? I'm right there with ya hon, ug.
