Merry Christmas!

I know this will be my last blog before Christmas, so please have a very Merry Christmas.

The parties have begun and so has the wrapping!! Now I just have to slide through the next few days and life will soon return to normal.

Last night we got home from Steve's Dad's house at about 8:00 and poor Bailey had peed and had Diarrhea in his crate. Gave him a bath, cleaned his crate, started to settle in and then about 9:15, he puked all over the couch. After cleaning that up (thank god for the little green machine), we headed for bed. He puked again @ 11:00 & 1:00. Finally we called the emergency vet and she said to take all food & water away from him for 12 hours and see what happens. Hasn't puked since, but you can tell he doesn't feel good. Poor thing, I have no idea what he could have gotten in to. Tonight we'll start him on a cottage cheese & rice diet. I'm going to try and call his vet and make sure we are doing the right thing.

Steve and I have been talking about really trying to adopt a healthy lifestyle. This is beyond what I am trying to do for myself, although it will certainly help me along. Steve was telling me that he really wants to get back to eating better and I had said that I was starting to think that I couldn't ignore the "what" part of my program for very much longer. I tend to eat whatever I want as long it's under my calorie range. I don't think he was quite as happy when I started talking about whole wheat pasta and ground turkey!! But if we as a family can work on being healthy and active (he said he'd also like to make it to the gym every day) that will really help me get my shit together.

We are going to get it going right after Christmas instead of waiting until the new year!!

Merry (belated) Christmas!! Sorry I couldn't say so sooner, school's out, you know how it goes.

Poor Bailey! I hope the baby is feeling all better now.

I think adopting an overall healthier lifestyle would be great not only for you, but for the whole fam as well. I like the idea of Jacob growing up with that and then continuing it on with his own family one day. Breaking the cycle, y'know?

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas, and here's to a fabulous new year!!

Love ya!
