Weigh In day!

I lost 7.6 lbs last week!!! Yipppeee!!! My new plan is really working for me.

Did I mention that I have a new plan? 2 weeks ago when I got denied, I knew it was up to me, but I knew I couldn't go back to calorie counting. If I was to be honest with myself, I had to admit that I am a calorie abuser. I will eat all kinds of crap (cookies, ice cream, pizza) and as long as I write it down, it's OK because I am counting. What's nuts is I do lose this way, but then when I get off-track I go right back to my old ways of eating because I never really stopped, I just scaled back. The other problem is that I will eat to my calorie limit. So if it's the end of the day and dinner puts me @ 1600 calories, then I will have bread & butter or dessert or something to fill those calories up to 2000.

So I actually haven't been counting at all. It's very scary, but what I am trying to do is focus on my choices and not the calories. Bread & Butter with dinner is not acceptable. If I count and I have the calories left, I will have it anyway. If I don't count, I won't. I have always had dessert every night, even when I am on plan. I just leave the calories for it. This time we are just trying to learn that dinner is the end of the food day. Period. I am not a night time eater (except for desserts), and I am hardly ever hungry after dinner, I just want something sweet.

So I am having breakfast, snack, lunch, snack & dinner. I have been doing this long enough to know what is acceptable and what is not.
Breakfast is a slice of bread with Peanut Butter and 4 banana slices & 1 cup whole milk.
Lunch is usually a turkey sandwich with light mayo and a slice of cheese with an apple or grapes.
Snacks are usually trail mix or 4 triscuits and a slice of cheese.
Dinner is well...It varies...Tacos, spaghetti, chicken & rice. I am just having small portions

So I can't even tell you how many calories I had last week, but I didn't ever go hungry. I have been really staying away from the obvious forms of sugar and that has really been helping my cravings.

Here's to another good week!
