I guess the good news is that it's the new year and everyone is back on the weight loss band wagon! It's somehow easier when everyone is on board. The plan is exactly the same 1800 calories and I plan to move. In fact, I am going back to water aerobics tonight. I want/need to lose the weight for many reasons. But I think mobility is one of my biggest motivators right now. I feel, act and move like I am 80 years old. It would be funny, if it weren't so true. I am actually thrilled to be back on plan today. I am excited to lose the first 60 lbs and get under 300. I know that my mobility will be soooo improved under 300. I will be able to do so much more.
I am going to try and eat a little cleaner as well. I believe that it's the overall calories that counts, but that if I will clean up my calories, I will lose faster. And I know the more I move, the faster I will lose. This isn't a race for me, but...there are many things happening in the spring this year that I would like to be as small as possible.
- We promised Jake that we would buy hubby and I bikes this year. At 360, am not getting on a bike, but under 300 might be doable.
- My 25th class reunion is in June. Not that I wasn't heavy at my 20th, but I certainlt don't want to be BIGGER! And smaller would be nice.
- Hubby turns 40 in August. We will be having a big party and I would like to be as small as possible by then.

nice to see you back! :)
Happy New Year Sandi; so glad to see you back. I agree that it does seem easier to cope with weight loss when so many others are tackling it as well.
17 lbs in a month is amazing; I would be so thrilled with that! I lose so slowly even though I'm morbidly obese. I have to keep reminding myself that if I can lose something each month eventually it will add up.
Keep us updated on how everything is going for you.
I've missed you. Happy New Year!
