Week 3 results: I lost 2.8 lbs! That's a total of 15.2 since I made my commitment and 32.2 overall. I am pleased to start week 4.
Last week went along pretty well without a hitch. I made it water aerobics twice and took 3 walks, so I feel like I managed to be active. Friday was a thirty-one party. The plan was easy, have nothing but water. I ate dinner right before I went. I just didn't expect quite so much yummy food. And some of my favorites no less. It was the chocolate covered strawberries and the homemade guacamole that were calling my name. I did indulge in 3 chips with the quac, oh my...yummy!! But that's all, and I came home, logged it and stayed well within my range. Saturday was dinner out with old friends at a Mexican restaurant. I knew this would be a huge temptation for me, but I planned ahead and had the chicken salad, brought my dressing and that's all I had (oh, and water!). So the weekend temptations were over, and I came through with flying colors! But for some reason on Sunday, I had the urge to eat ALL DAY LONG! I added a snack here and there and adjusted my dinner and stayed within my range. But, man, it was like sitting on my hands all day long. I was glad to finally get to enjoy a relaxing day, but idle hands are trouble!
I am hoping to lose approximately 3 lbs a week. I know that things will fluctuate, but I think that should be my overall trend, based on my BMR. So I figured out about where I should be for the upcoming things this year like my class reunion, Steve's birthday party, Jake's birthday party and the holidays. So this has given me something to look forward to.
This is how the week looked calorie wise...
