Week 33 Results: I lost 6.8 lbs! :)

I am thrilled with my results this week. Lost what I gained last week and then some!! I did really well about sticking to my 1800 calorie limit and moved a little!! A little more than 5 lbs and I will have lost 100 lbs. Seems sorta surreal.

I had week 1 of that fitness for life class last night. It's an 8 week class and I am pretty excited about it. I get 1 free year gym membership, which is nice, but I already pay to go to the YMCA and we have a family membership, so it's not like I can stop that. But I am excited to see what they have to offer. I think the class will get me more focused on fitness and nutrition and not just weight loss, which I think it's time for. Some of things that I wrote down from the class were:
  • It takes 3 days to process red meat
  • Your protein should be 90% lean or better
  • Get your meat from a local butcher, and ask them if they have a local place they get their meat from. I guess a local place by me has bison!
  • Taco bell is in trouble because their meat products contain less than 30% beef, the rest is "additives", yet they advertise "beef" tacos.
  • Since there has been such a big fuss about Trans Fat, they changed it some and named it mono-dyglcerides, so now we have something new to look for.
This was just an into to the class, so I should have better info as the weeks go on. Stay tuned!

Awesome week, Sandi! Talk about motivating results.

I can't wait to see the "100 lb. loss" progress pics in the next week or two :)

Thank you for the heads up on being on the lookout for monodyglcerides. I didn't know that!
