Today's weight...363.4 This is a new all time high for me. Normally at this time of year, I wouldn't care. The holidays are coming, everyone is busy and weight loss is not on the top of my list. But this weekend motivation kicked in and today is a new day full of possibilities and I am on plan...and so is Steve.
It started by reading this post http://zeusmeatball.blogspot.com/2009/11/life-is-not-easy.html That post said more about where I am right now than I could ever say myself. It spoke volumes.
Then a found a new blog http://amazonrunner.blogspot.com/ and at the bottom of her blog, she had this video.
Totally blown away. Look at all the people who have done this. I CAN do this.
Then Steve came home talking about how we have to start on Monday (he'd like to drop 40 lbs himself). I told him that I was tired of us "talking" about starting on Monday and then never doing it and that I just couldn't stop and start anymore. And he said he was serious. So we spent the weekend planning for our new program to start today.
I have found many new blogs over the weekend. People who are really doing this. It's time I became one of them!!!

The best thing you can have on your journey to lose weight is a partner and Steve being right there with you is wonderful. I'm not sure that I would have been able to do it without Maggie.
It's hard, really really really hard. Harder than you can imagine (I think quitting smoking was easier) but the rewards are worth it. They're so worth it.
Maggie and I are always here if you need anything.
Sandy, I am so glad to see you blogging again. i kept checking after Asheville but....
You know how long I have been struggling but finally am working on it. Too bad I had to wait until I was 70. You have the time left so just do it! I know how much you want it.
