Today is the start of week 10. To date I have lost 24 lbs. This past 9 weeks has not been perfect, but I am managing to keep my eye on the ball and keep at it. I feel like I am learning what it's going to take to make this work.

I like the weekdays because they are very much the same. I don't have to make choices during the day, I pack my lunch and eat only what I bring. Along with my breakfast and lunch, I always pack a morning and afternoon snack. I never want to end up making a bad choice because I wasn't prepared! My office is typically very anti-food. No one brings in donuts in the morning, no one bakes for the office. Even on birthdays, you will not find sweets in honor of the birthday person. It's a small office and everyone is very health conscious, so that really helps. Today there is mumblings about making popcorn this afternoon. But my calories are already counted and planned for the day and popcorn is not part of the plan. So when the heavenly smell reaches my office, the answer will be a polite, No thanks. During the week, I weigh count and measure everything and it all goes into fitday.

Weekends seem to be much harder. I haven't counted the last 3 weekends. This last one, I didn't want to count, so I just made sure to eat small portions and not snack. Having an afternoon snack instead of lunch also helped. I am not against not counting on the weekends, as long as it doesn't turn into a weekend eat-fest. For me it's all about finding what will work for me in the long run. I have to do this forever. What am I willing to do forever?

AWESOME!!! You have hit the nail on the head when you ask yourself..."What am I willing to do forever."
