Welcome 2008!!!

I know, it's January 3rd and everyone else was back January 1st!! But honestly, we were still busy celebrating and having parties!!!

I did weigh in today...and I have gained. But I think I'll share my weight with you on Monday after I have had some time to get back on track, which starts today! I wasn't even hungry for breakfast, so I just had some fruit. I am meeting someone for lunch and going out for dinner (see, it never ends!) My goal for 2008 is to keep my calories below 1800 and keep my fiber high. I think between 30 - 35 grams would be best, but just being mindful of fiber will help too! And then there is the exercise. Cardio is a daily must, and I am going to buy a new battery for my pedometer, but I need to lift weights too, so I have purchased some resistance bands, and with the help of a dear friend have mapped out a program that I will do 3 times a week. And I am going to have more water than pop. I don't think there is any reason to give up pop, I think just having less of it will do the trick!

The cool thing is that Steve is with me. He has put on a few and wants it off for a wedding in May and for Softball. It always helps to do this as a family.

I am really going to try and change the quality of what we eat, not just the quantity. I am going to pull out my Dr. Oz book and read that and start watching labels.

I am excited to get this weight off once and for all!!!!

Was just wondering what was the status of your WLS? Are you still the neverland of insurance red tape and paperwork?

I gained a lot over the holidays, I really let myself go. I should have known better because it makes it that much harder now.

Sounds like you've got all the troops organized and ready to go...a good start to what is going to be a great year for all of us!
