Finally!

A chance to check in!! I knew this week was going to be crazy, but I did not expect this. I don't think I've been on-line hardly at all this week. It has been busy, but good.

Yes, Jen, It's the Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana. We go to Mansfield, although I think next year we will visit Bridgeton like we have always talked about. I think the only think I bought myself was a silly jester’s hat for Halloween. Most of our funds were spent on Jacob for his birthday. He made out pretty good. It's a nice annual tradition that I do every year with my family. My family isn't all that big - just me and my brother and mom left. He has 2 kids and we have 1. So I like to do stuff together when possible. We walked for about 4 1/2 hours, so that was good. The eats could have been better. But Wednesday and today have been good. I want to eat today, so I have been fighting that BIG TIME!!! I know I have Jacob's birthday party coming up too, so I need to be careful.

Last night my trainer introduced me to 4 weight machines to add to my workout routine. I'll do them for the next 4 weeks and then we'll add 4 more. I had her show me some arms so I can do them too. For whatever reason, they don't get added into this program. I did swimming on Monday & Wednesday and Tuesday was all that walking, but I have to hit the gym Thurs, Fri & Sat to meet my 3x a week quota I have there, so at least I am getting LOTS of exercise!!!

Meg - I guess I wasn't thinking about it that way. Consider my attitude fully adjusted!!! :) It's hard to learn that this is a journey and things won't always perfect.

Well there you are stranger! First, in case you don't post tomorrow, I just want to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to big boy Jacob! Six this year, right? Yikes, where'd the time go?

I'm lovin' all that exercise! By golly, I think you might just be turning into a gym rat, who knew? ;D

Remember to stay conscious with the eats and you'll sail through just fine. Good luck hon, soon enough these "events" won't even faze you anymore.

Looks like we've both been AWOL for a few days but I'm glad to be able to check in now.

Happy Birthday to the little man in your family! Bev's so right, there's no better way to judge how time flies than watching the children grow. :)

I'm loving your attitude and how you're not letting "event" glitches destroy the other hard work. Yep, its a long road and certainly not easy, but you're sticking with the exercise and really sorting out in your mind the hows and whys of your eating patterns. Keep it up and you'll end up keeping it down (the scale, that is). You know we're here through thick and thin (tee hee) xox
