Now that's what I'm talking about!!! I've lost a total of 10.4 lbs! :) :) I am one happy camper!! I knew that I was having a good week, but 328.6 surprised me. Last week I averaged 1733 calories and did 220 minutes of exercise. By keeping my calories high, I feel satisfied and I can sneak in some stuff (like a cup of light ice cream) that doesn't make me feel deprived. I can't do this not having some good stuff. Because at some point I crack and then it's over. Hopefully, this way I will learn portion control.
I think the best part is that I feel in control. Today will be another good day. This week brings some challenges...Tuesday night is Bunko, Saturday I have an adult birthday party & Sunday is a baby shower. I plan to just figure it out. These kinds of events are going to continue to happen for the rest of my life, so I just need to deal!! And that doesn't mean go over my calories, it means figure it in.
Friday night we did end up going to the football game. It was cold, but it was nice to kind of get to see some people before the actual reunion. When we showed up for the reunion, there was no power. Someone had hit a transformer. So from 7:00-8:30 we wandered around in candlelight trying to recognize people. But after the lights came up, it was much better!! I ended up having a great time. I was very conflicted if I should go or not and I'm glad I did. Now when I show up at the 25 year all buff, everyone will remember how fat I was at the 20th!! :)

Sandi: GREAT JOB! 7 lbs is awesome! I know it must have felt very gratifying to see the scale reflect all your hard work!
YAY Sandi!!!!!
WTG on the seven pounds! And Sandi, you've got it figured out. :) Yep, life happens and we have to roll with it without sabotaging ourselves. There's never going to be the perfect time, the perfect place, the perfect anything to lose weight so we just do the best we can with what we have. The important thing is to never give up!
I love coming and reading your blog every morning - you probably can hear me cheering all the way from Pittsburgh: Go, Sandi!!!
I too am shouting for joy for you! Whoo Hooo I will do the dance of joy and use up some of my own calories!
Very nice! What a wonderful post! Now that's what I call success ~ you knew exactly what to do and went out and did it (without depriving yourself!) Doesn't it feel great? You watched your calories, did your exercise and lost a bunch of weight; now do it again THIS week!!
I'm so glad you went to your reunion. I'm sure everyone was as happy to see you as you were to see them and isn't that what its all about?
You've given me incentive to get right back on track tomorrow after a day of stuffing myself with turkey (which was also stuffed). Oh, and the pumpkin pie and whipped cream. Yeah, so it was one day! No big whoop. Now I'm going to do a "Sandi" and watch what I eat, go to the gym and leave it behind! :)
Congrats on your 7 lbs loss!!! Great work. Keep it up!
Jen
