A better day

Boy, I did not like how I felt yesterday. I don't know where the rage came from. My friend Amanda cam over for dinner last night and we talked for a couple of hours and that seemed to really help. I usually see Amanda once a month at Bunko, but we don't really get to talk. I forgot how much I enjoy her company. How is it that we get so busy with our "lives" that we don't make time for the people who matter. My best friend Laurie and I have been trying to get togther for dinner since her Birthday in JULY!! How many times have I told Jacob no to something fun because I had some stuff around the house to do? I really want to start focusing on the people in my life. Developing the relationships that make life worth living. We keep "talking" about having the neighbors over for a cookout, but we haven't done it. Why? Because we are so busy. Busy with what - we make it so complicated and it doesn't have to be that way.

Lots to think about.

So glad you're feeling better! And that you got the chance to reconnect with a friend. I know what you mean, things do tend to get so busy that we lose focus of what's really important. Now go invite your neighbors over for a BBQ and have a blast, you never know what kind of friends you're just waiting to meet.

Wow good lesson for me here too. We do need to concentrate on friendships and relationships! Glad you are having a better day. Amazing how just kicking back and laughing with a friend can do that.

I'm still trying to come to grips with the notion that the angelic Sandi I know and love is capable of being devil spawn. Nah, don't believe it!

Happy that you're in a better frame of mind today and thinking about positive things like catching up with old (and making new) friends. I hear you about it being soooo difficult to make time for those simple, yet fun things in life like laughing with a good buddy.

Keep smiling (that's what I see when I think of you ... that lovely smile)
