It's supposed to be in the 90's here again today. I tend to be a really bad sweater (Gross, I know). I can't seem to remember if it was this bad when I was thinner. It'll be interesting to see if that changes. DS has inherited my sweatiness - isn't he lucky! But it just doesn't seem so bad for a boy.
Day 2 went smoothly - I stayed within my calorie limit (1800), drank lots of water. Didn't get much exercise. I have water aerobics tonight, so that'll be fun. My mom and I started going just a few weeks ago. Just moving makes me feel good. For anyone who feels like they are too big to exercise, please do water aerobics. It is a good workout and anyone can do it. Some of the people even come with canes, but don't need them in the water.
I am feeling good about my journey so far. I just need to stay focused. My first "speedbump" is coming up on Sunday. Pizza party for MIL & DH birthdays. My goal is to lose 50 lbs in 3 months. I had previously decided to give up pizza for that 3 months. I tend to have a false belief that I can eat anything I want and still lose weight. I am one of those people who used to spend her 1800 calories on junk and still think it was a successfukl day. While I believe it's all about calories in and calories out and I could have pizza, it's one of those things that I believe might trigger me. I want to be thin, but this time I also want to be healthy and pizza needs to be kept to an occasional thing. So for Sunday, I will pass on the pizza. I plan to go by the pizza place and see what other choices (a.k.a. salad) they have and plan to bring my own chicken if necessary.

Hi Sandi! Half the battle is having a plan in place and yours sounds like a good one. I'm the same way that you are with pizza (one piece is too many and then four (or more) aren't enough - lol) and would make the same choice of salad that you are. I can't wait to come back here on Monday and read about your success!
Hey Sandi! Welcome to the world of blogging! It's fun! Everytime I read that you are doing well it motivates me - thank you. I consider you a good friend.. that I just have never met! :O.
I wish you all the best on your new adventure. One day at a time, right?
Dana
Hiya Sandi,
I'm so glad to see that you have a plan in place for Sunday, and for every other day, for that matter. I restarted just a week ago, and am counting calories, too, so maybe we can do this together. (((HUG)))
Ahhhh, the dreaded pizza! Hey, what happened to your honey bunny giving it up right along with you?? Oh well, I guess since it’s his b-day we'll let him slide, but just this once!! Good for you planning to get a salad instead of unnecessary indulging. Hope you had fun at water aerobics tonight!
Hang tight chica, you're doing awesome!!
Bev
